Josh Medley

Josh Medley, MA, NCC, Psychotherapist

I have a colorful and diverse biography, including work as a bodyworker, and a separate career in real estate development.  I’ve worked in hospice and elder care.  And I’ve been doing work with individuals and couples for the last 6 years.

I have six years of focused study in mindfulness based psychotherapeutic methods, including Hakomi and Internal Family Systems.  I have three years of study of somatic psychotherapy methods (including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Hakomi).   I have three years of focused study of couple therapy methods, including PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program), EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy).   I’ve been a student of the Diamond Approach for over ten years.  I’ve studied meditation for 20 years, and completed cumulatively over 6 months of retreat.  I have studied and performed improvisational theater for many years, including long form, short form, playback, and standup comedy.

I have been in relationship for the past 14 years with the same wonderful person, married for eleven.  I have a deep commitment to relationship, to mindfulness, and openness to new possibilities discovered in just this moment.
