About Josh

Josh Medley

Josh Medley, MA, NCC, Psychotherapist

I have a colorful and diverse biography, including work as a bodyworker, and a separate career in real estate development.  I’ve worked in hospice and elder care.  And I’ve been working with individuals and couples for the last 10 years.

I completed ten years of focused study in mindfulness based psychotherapeutic methods, including Hakomi and Internal Family Systems.  I have three years of study of somatic psychotherapy methods (including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Hakomi), and three years of focused study of couple therapy methods, including PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program), EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy).   I’ve been a student of the Diamond Approach for over fifteen years.  I’ve studied meditation for 20 years, and completed cumulatively over 6 months of retreat.  I have also studied and performed improvisational theater for many years, including long form, short form, playback, and standup comedy.

I have been in relationship for the past 18 years with the same wonderful person, married for over fifteen.  I have a deep commitment to relationship, to mindfulness, and openness to new possibilities discovered in just this moment.
